Learning Intervention Programs Approved for Minnesota READ Act
With implementation of the Minnesota Reading to Ensure Academic Development (READ) Act, educators at school districts across the state are transitioning to evidence-based literacy instruction grounded in the science of reading. To support this transition, the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) has released its vetted list of approved literacy intervention programs.
Voyager Sopris Learning® is pleased to announce our intervention solutions have been officially approved by the MDE. This ensures Minnesota educators can implement our programs with the confidence needed to meet the state’s standards for Structured Literacy.
Approved Intervention Solutions for Minnesota Students
Our approved programs are designed to address the diverse needs of struggling readers through explicit, systematic instruction:
- Sound Partners (Grades K–3) is a research-based tutoring program that provides explicit instruction in early reading skills, targeting phonemic awareness and decoding.
- Voyager Passport® (Grades K–5) is a comprehensive K–5 intervention that provides explicit, systematic instruction in the five essential components of reading plus language and writing to accelerate students to grade-level proficiency.
- REWARDS® (Grades 4–12) is a research-proven, short-term intervention focused on multisyllabic word decoding, fluency, and academic vocabulary for students who struggle with complex text.
A Commitment to Minnesota Educators
Our mission is to provide educators with the tools and professional support necessary to achieve measurable literacy growth.
