Voyager Sopris Learning partnered with KINF as part of a Back to School campaign, donating 3 percent of all web store sales to KINF when customers used a special promotional code at checkout. Between August 15, 2013, and October 15, 2013, the campaign resulted in a total of $18,374 in donations, which KINF will use to procure many more thousands of dollars' worth of school supplies through partnerships with major retailers and manufacturers. KINF has historically been able to procure $25 in product for each dollar donated, meaning that this donation of $18,374 will procure approximately $450,000 in school supplies for students who need them.
"The impact of Voyager Sopris Learning's financial donation goes far beyond the actual dollar figure that was raised," said Dave Smith, executive director of the Kids In Need Foundation. "That's why every donation is valued by Kids In Need. Every dollar donated can be turned into many more dollars' worth of supplies for students."
Voyager Sopris Learning plans to partner with KINF again to help ensure that all students have the basic tools they need to participate fully in the learning experiences their schools have to offer.
"We cannot thank Kids In Need enough, not only for this partnership but for everything they do to help students across the country," said George Logue, president of Voyager Sopris Learning. "Together, we have helped thousands of children by giving them the tools they need to succeed."

About Kids In Need Foundation The Kids In Need Foundation (KINF) is a national 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded in 1995. The Foundation's mission is to prepare children to learn and succeed by providing free school supplies to students most in need. Its National Network of Resource Centers includes 32 facilities where teachers from low-income schools go to obtain free school supplies for their students. School supply giveaways in communities not served by Resource Centers are accommodated through the School Ready Supplies program, and students who have gone through natural disasters are helped to get back to their normal routines with new backpacks and supplies through the Second Responder program. In addition, two Teacher Grant programs award preK–12 educators with funding to provide innovative learning experiences for students. KINF has distributed more than $500 million in school supplies since its founding, directly benefiting more than 2.4 million students and 100,000 teachers annually, and has awarded $1.5 million in grants to teachers. KINF has received Charity Navigator's highest four-star rating for four years, indicating that it operates in a fiscally responsible way and outperforms most other charities in America, and has earned the GuideStar Exchange Seal, demonstrating its commitment to transparency.
