2020 Aspiring Teacher Scholarship

Congratulations to our 2020 winner, Megan Weigel, from Olive Branch, MS, who will receive $1,000 toward her education to support her goal of becoming a teacher. Megan will be attending the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS this fall and will major in the field of education.

Megan, a graduate of Center Hill High School, submitted a detailed application that included an essay describing the impact an influential teacher had on her education, and why she decided to become a teacher.

“I believe it’s an honor being a teacher for the next generation of Mississippi students. My goal as a teacher is not only give every child the education they deserve, but guide them to be the best person they can be.”

Voyager Sopris Learning is pleased to be able to support Megan’s efforts to become an educator and make her own positive impact on her future students.
