About Paty

I joined Voyager Sopris Learning^® in 2010. I work as a key contact between the company and you: answering questions, offering suggestions, and introducing new programs. My prior experience contributes to my professional knowledge in the industry so I can better serve you.

I bring more than 20 years of experience as a successful classroom teacher, a literacy intervention specialist, and a district literacy coach/trainer. I am knowledgeable about research-based reading instruction, and I am a champion for struggling students. I spent many summers stalking Dr. Louisa Moats and Dr. Anita Archer, attending their workshops, soaking up all the knowledge they had to impart. Now, I am the luckiest person in the world, representing a company that allows me to work with these terrific authors and share their impactful curriculums with districts and schools across Alaska, Oregon and Washington.

I have seen the effects our curriculums have had with students, and believe in our mission to help all students reach their highest potential.
